I used to think that the media is supposed to be objective in their reporting, but they are just amazing. The news channels are so sensationalist and biased in reporting that its not news anymore. While I buy your point about morons in a booming economy, of greater concern is the fact that even the few "non-morons" in this field might be forced, by competitive pressures and for their own survival, to adopt the way of the morons.
